Travel is expensive. It’s even more expensive to vacation to resorts, on cruises, and in luxury hotels. It can be a little depressing to think that you might never get to take the vacation you’ve always wanted, or worrisome when you spend down your savings to do so.

At Five Diamond Club, we believe you (yes, you!) deserve to travel like a VIP without spending like a VIP. We know how expensive travel can be, and that’s why we’ve leveraged our experience in the industry to pass along savings you won’t find anywhere else.

You shouldn’t have to be a victim of the travel industry with its high retail rates. Our mission is to help people like yourself have luxury vacation experiences that usually only the top one-percenters have access to.

Our "Why"

We believe everyday people deserve to travel like VIPs without spending like VIPs. And we believe that you can have a travel subscription that isn’t gimmicky or deceptive.

Five Diamond Club passes travel savings directly to our subscribers. When subscribers book travel through us, we don’t profit on their reservations. We profit only on subscriptions and the nominal monthly or annual service fees.

Our co-founders Alejandro and Laura Del Toro owned two travel agencies in the 1980s and 1990s. They had the idea of creating a vacation program without the headaches of timeshare ownership and the high price points of retail travel. This program would offer a subscription for at-cost travel opportunities.

In 1997, their son and co-founder Michael Del Toro began his career as a manager at American Airlines. He soon realized airline employees needed a way to get low hotel, resort, and cruise rates in addition to their flight benefits.

Thanks to their experience in the travel industry, Michael worked with his parents to negotiate discount travel rates. He then provided these benefits to his colleagues via a vacation benefits club. He structured the business so that he profited only on subscriptions, not the low travel rates. The company officially opened as Unlimited Vacations in April 1998.

After graduating Texas Christian University, Michael went to work at the FBI and soon extended the same travel benefits to government personnel. He later became a teacher in Dallas ISD, providing travel benefits to district employees who could enjoy taking long, inexpensive summer vacations.

In November 2016, the company began offering the same vacation benefits to the public worldwide. On May 19, 2020, Club Cinco Diamantes opened operations in Cancún, Mexico; and on November 12, 2020, we added our new brand, Five Diamond Club, based out of the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area.

Five Diamond Club has expanded to include savings not only in the travel industry, but in many other industries. Our subscribers receive savings on restaurants, shopping, everyday purchases, monthly bills and more. Not only that, subscriptions now pay for themselves with restaurant gift card reimbursements.

Today, Michael continues to run Five Diamond Club with support from his wife, Imelda. He is also developing the future leaders and administrators of Five Diamond Club: his four children, Adlemi, Michaelangelo, Jessica, and Amy.

A lot has changed in the last twenty four years. But one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to providing high-quality travel at low-budget prices. We look forward to helping you take the vacations of your dreams while improving your lifestyle.
